Tips

To remove excess buildup on your hair, rinse with club soda. The carbonation also helps remove chlorine if you rinse immediately after geting out of the pool.

To keep candle wax from sticking in a candle holder, add a drop or two of water into the bottom of the holder before placing candle.

To keep a bathroom mirror from fogging, wipe a small bit of shaving cream or shampoo on it and then wipe clean.

To remove air odor after frying food, boil 1 cup of water with 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar. Turn on the fan. Don't let the pan boil dry! Alternatively, you can dip a clean dishtowel in full-strength vinegar and wave it around.

John Mackey (Whole Foods Market) Responds to FTC

I am fascinated with the proposed merger between Whole Foods Market and Wild Oats. The Federal Trade Commission is challenging the merger on the grounds that it would lead to a monopoly for Whole Foods Market, eliminating all competition, and reduced quality/ higher prices for customers.

Here is how John Mackey (founder and CEO of Whole Foods Market) responds:

Okay so I am not an active blogger. I am not even a good blogger but this blog is my opportunity to compose my thoughts so here I am writing away.

The biggest news in my life is that I am now a bona fide culinary arts student! Classes won't start until May but I am diving in by reading a thouand food related blogs and watching more Food Network and Fine Living shows than anyone has a right too. I am so excited!
